A vintage or maybe antique hammered copper jug! This pitcher or jug is large! It looks like a giant kettle, with a flip top lid. No noted markings but other that are similar I've seen are noted as being made in the Middle East or Persia, I don't know if this is the case for this jug but it definitely has that sort of look to it! The bottom is rounded so it doesn't sit perfectly flat if you nudge it.

It looks like the top finial piece was repaired as well as a possible repair on the bottom of the jug. There's a small split in the metal along the bottom edge, but I can't see light coming in to the inside when I hold it up, so I don't know if it goes all the way through. The inside is very dirty and shows the copper's age.

I'm assuming a previous owner cleaned and shined the outside for it to be so shiny. There are corrosion/tarnish buildup spots in the nooks and crannies on the outside. Surface scratches and scuffs scattered throughout. The bottom is rounded (by design) so it doesn't sit perfectly flat. There are some small dings/dents to the metal in addition to the hammered design. MEASUREMENTS: This is a large piece! Jug measures approximately 20" tall and 13 1/2" in diameter at widest points.
