Wonderful Victorian era silverplate tilting water pitcher in the Aesthetic Movement design. Featureds acanthus leaves and scroll design on midsection of water pitcher with matching supports and base. The two cups also display matching design. At the base is a removable handled plate that would catch the water drips. The pieces are marked Meriden B Company.
The pitcher has a white porcelain liner with minor stains at the spout holes. The water pitcher is in very good condition. The hinge on cover is strong. There are a few dimples on one side where the stop on the support may have hit the pitcher when incorrectly placed. The water goblets both have rims at the tops and bases that are dented and out of round from use.
The water goblets are 6" tall x 2 3/4" diameter. The water pitcher is approximately 12" tall x 11 1/2" from spout to handle. The overall height when on supports is approximately 16" tall x 13 1/2" from water stand to handled side.Base of support is approximately 9 in diameter.
