Very Large Antique Mocha Water/Milk Pitcher Jug Moss & Cat's Eyes Designs 8

  

This antique 1830s-1840s milk/water Mocha Ware pitcher or jug is English. It is decorated with moss, cat's eyes and corlored bands. Lovely scalloped rim (unusual) and strap handle.

Matte finish on the glaze. Found in the estate of a dealer with a note in it indicating it was an important find. The piece is a bit coursely done on the pouring lip. Perhaps a very old repair or a clumsy spout done in the manufacturing process.

Shows signs of use as would be expected. 8" tall x 9" from tip of spout to end of handle (widest point).
