Louis estate sales and made by Tiffany & Co, circa 1890 under the directorship of Edward Moore, may I offer this rare treasure - an antique Victorian sterling silver (hallmarked) water pitcher and underplate. Both pieces of silver are monogrammed - the jug with the initials FGC in those wonderfully large Victorian lettering so popular during the day; the tray is inscribed To F. Cass as a Token of My Appreciation of the Good Work done at "Mountain Side" during 1880. The water jug stands about 7-1/4" high and has a width of 4-3/4" from back to pitcher to spout; the handles adds another 2-1/4 in length. The matching tray has a width just shy of 9 - as you can see, both pieces fit perfectly together and make for a most impressive display.
Weight of the pitcher is 750 grams - the plate weighs 494 grams. Condition is pretty much perfect with only light surface wear to the plate. The bottom of the pitcher displays the markings that would come with maybe stirring ice in the container or ice cubes hitting the bottom - in other words, just the normal antique look that old silver gets over surviving 130 years! Just stunning - something I hope everyone can figure out from my photos.
Photographing silver is just so darn hard! I describe my items accurately, have multiple pictures on each of my listings so a "surprise" upon receipt is unlikely. However, if something is amiss, I will remedy the situation as quickly as possible.
I package my items very well for transit so please please do not worry - your package will arrive intact. My home is smoke and pet free! This will be mentioned in the appropriate area.
