Sterling Silver Water Jug LARGE 1978 Edinburgh SCOTTISH SILVER 490g RARE STYLE

  

A very impressive, unusual and show stopping Scottish sterling silver jug of a good size. It has a wonderful style the like of which I have not seen before. It has been made from a good gauge of silver which gives it a good solid feel and a very deep shine.

It is the perfect size to be a water jug or even a wine jug. Fully hallmarked Sterling Silver, 1978 Edinburgh.

The makers mark is of Ronald Arthur Somervell. It is an excellent condition being free from repairs or splits. The inside is in good order.

Some very light surface wear as expected for its age and use. The last photograph shows a spill in the silver, if it was a repair it would also be visible from the inside. 18cm depth including spout and handle. It really is a super piece of silver that will look wonderful on the table and in use.
