This is a rare and gorgeous Water/Milk Jug with metal lid, from the older version of famous Minton rose pattern. It was made by Minton in England.
This is very rare piece and very hard to find. The jug is properly marked with Minton globe and the pattern number. This pattern was introduced in 1867. The backstamp dates the pieces between 1873 and 1912. It was made for Ryrie Bros Toronto. It has aqua band, pink roses, raised details and red trim. It is beautiful and it is not in production anymore. The jug is 5 5/8 tall to the rim. It is rare and beautiful and will make a wonderful gift or will be a great addition to any vintage china collection. Is in good condition with no chips or cracks - please refer to the pictures or ask questions. It could have some minimal marks or very minimal crazing, if any. It is a little wiggly. Ctual color may differ from the photo due to lighting conditions.Just imagine your special table set with these beautiful pieces. A party makes an elegant statement when set with antique porcelain.
