Antique Silver Hot Water Jug. A good example of a solid sterling silver hot water jug. It is a simple stylish shape with a shaped wooden handle, gadrooned rim and nicely turned finial.
It is engraved on the front. Presented To Flying Officer W. It is a good quality piece, weighing a total of 441g with the handle. It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1921.
The maker's mark is slightly worn but we believe it is S Blanckensee & Son Ltd. It is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays well. There are some faint surface scratches, a few light surface marks, minor dinks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
