Emilio Castillo Mexican Silver Plate Water Pitcher-Imperfect

This handsome hammered silver water pitcher is by designer Emilio Castillo of the Taxco Mexico. They were very important Mexican silversmiths. It is a hammered silver plated pitcher with a Parrot shaped handle of inlaid stone mosaic pieces. The stones have a beautiful array of colors from mixtures of turquois, lapis, malachite and sodalite.

The parrot has gorgeously crafted detaisl including a brass beak. It is in good pre-owned condition other than that there is one piece of mosaic missing at the bottom of the handle. You do not see necessarily see if from the sides but it is tucked underneath the back. 13 tall and weighs nearly 5 lbs.
