Lovely and hard to find Blue Ridge China water pitcher or jug from Southern Potteries Incorporated, made in Tennessee probably in the 1940s. This is in the " Watauga" shape and in the "Eunice" floral pattern.
Marked on bottom with the Blue Ridge script mark stating Blue Ridge China hand painted underglaze Southern Potteries, Inc. Measures about 4 3/4" tall and about 7" from spout tip to end of handle. And here's the best part. I see no chips, cracks, flakes, or discoloration.
There are a few glaze pops and I do see a spot where some pink paint was misapplied by the painter who decorated the pitcher before glazing (below handle, see photo). I would not hesitate to give this as a gift... Even to my fussy Aunt Clara, the one who still has antimacassars on all her furniture.
