Wonderfully ornate Aesthetic silver plated huge ice water pitcher with an internal ceramic liner. Of round tapered body resting on a reeded pedestal base. The whole jug is bright cut and engraved with a river scene depicting a stork flying over water with reeds and arum lilies in the foreground. The handle has two side branches that end in thistle plant terminals and the spout is decorated in high-relief with flowers, foliage and geometric panels. The lid is topped with a large figural finial in the shape of a bear perched on top of a pile of rocks, with a freshly-caught salmon in his mouth.
