Antique French Provincial Conscience jug with yellow glaze - water / oil. This 19th Century French conscience jug is a traditional Provincial vessel originally used for carrying water and oil. Rope was passed through the loops for attaching to a donkey for transport. The glaze is yellow with some brown.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use. Overall 8" diameter x 8¼" wide x 13½ high Approx. Overall 20cm diameter x 21cm wide x 34cm high.
