Antique French Provincial Conscience jug with yellow and green glaze - water / o. This 19th Century French conscience jug is a traditional Provincial vessel originally used for carrying water and oil. Rope was passed through the loops for attaching to a donkey for transport.
The glaze is yellow with some green splashes. Condition and wear consistent with age and use. Overall 7½" diameter x 8¾" wide x 13 high Approx. Overall 19cm diameter x 22cm wide x 33cm high. Gift wrapping & card writing.
