Antique Burley Winter Saltglaze Stoneware Water Pitcher Jug Swans Blue Grey 1900

  

This pitcher weighs 3 lbs. The pitcher measures approximately 8 1/4" tall and 5" in diameter. This is an antique Burley Winter saltglaze stoneware pitcher. It features a swan on the water, depicted on both sides.

This piece is in very good condition for its age. As with this type of pottery, the surface is not smooth in areas. It does have natural blemishes in the stoneware.

The imperfections are what make it absolutely perfect. Please look at the photos carefully. This jug does have some chips and visible blemishes on the rim. There is one chip on the inside bottom area of the pitcher. Overall in very good condition.

This piece would be for display only. I would not use this as a pitcher for food/liquid use.
