ANTIQUE 19thC RARE GEORGIAN SOLID SILVER JUG ON STAND, PAUL STORR c. Antique early-19th Century Georgian Paul Storr. Olid silver hot water jug on stand, the jug of baluster form, the body with a band of gadrooning and fluting, with carved wooden scroll handle and hinged cover surmounted by a cast acorn finial, the circular stand on three feet, very realistically modelled as lion's paws, adorned with hanging rings and central burner. The jug, stand and burner are all Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard), London, Jug year 1806 (L), stand year 1812 (R), Maker's mark on each part P. (Paul Storr, considered as one of the greatest English silversmiths of all time), base engraved with a family crest.
