Antique 1850's Czech green crystal bicolor mouth blown glass water pitcher jug

  

This is a truly beautiful original antique water or beer pitcher or jug. Made in The old region of Bohemia, now the Czech Republic in the 1850's. This has been hand mouth blown into a mold and has 10 gentle facets and a stunning fluted applied crystal glass handle. What is remarkable about this jug, apart from the unique early green color, is the skill required to mouth blow bicolor glass in one go and to get the desired effect.

In fantastic original condition with bubbles to the glass, an original pontil mark and a slightly rough inner lip. This is a true collectable museum piece of early Czech Bohemian glass. Size: 6" x 5" approximately.
