Antique English 1820s ovid form milk or water jug. A transfer printed, hand painted Chinoiserie pattern. Painted in polychrome enamels with a molded strap handle and molded decorated spout. This type of jug was produced in England in the 1820s under different names. Locket & Hulme, Newbold, Baggerly & Ball, Opaque China, and others.

No crazing, lines, or repairs. The jug is 5" high and 8" wide.
