This exceptional antique American sterling silver beer/water jug has a plain baluster form onto a circular spreading foot, in the classic English George I style. The body of this impressive jug is plain and unembellished.

This impressive example of antique silverware is fitted with an S scroll handle ornamented with a scrolling thumbpiece and lower terminal. The beak style spout of this antique silver jug is embellished with a vase-shaped moulding with a drop shaped form to the nadir.

This impressive jug bears the elucidating wording'Reproduction Circa 1723' in addition to the volume marker'2 3/4pts'. This impressive jug was crafted by the American silversmiths Currier & Roby of New York; this silversmith is known for making high quality items. This antique silver beer jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full American hallmarks struck to the underside are all very clear.
