REED & BARTON Silver Plated ICE WATER Tilting PITCHER SET circa 1872 features SLEDDERS, SKATERS, DOG in WINTER SNOW SCENE. Engraved From The Ministers of Montpelier District.

Complete with original intact Ceramic Liner, Titling Stand, Drip Saucer and. From home of Original Family Owners in Vermont. Pitcher is complete and in excellent condition, and will polish up beautifully. Repousse Band features a winter scene with two folks riding a sled pulled by a dog. Downhill sledding, and ice skating. Top and Bottom Edging of band features Icicles. Engraved with inscription From the Ministers of Montpelier District. The pitcher lid unscrews (screws included) and the ceramic liner removes for cleaning. 6.5 Inches x 10 Inches x 13 Inches.

Patent dates are: April 6, 1858. Mark on bottom of pitcher reads: 1845 MFD & Plated by Reed & Barton, Patented (with above dates) and Extended 7 Years. 252 Lid is in excellent condition. Inner White Ceramic Liner is also complete. No cracks, discolorations, crazing, or chips.

Stamped James Edwards & Son Dalehall. Reed & Barton's Patent Moveable Ice Pitcher Linings.

Weighs: 6 1/2 LBS (Pitcher and liner). Tilting Stand with Handle and Drip saucer included. Both Marked Red and Barton 0130 Drip Saucer shows large wear mark on interior bowl of saucer, and superficial scratches on bottom. Four or five tiny spots of missing silver plate.

Titling Stand has occasional spots of missing silver plate and tarnish. Tilting Unit weighs: 4 1/2 LBS. Goblet with pedestal base has matching repousse band of sledders, skaters, trees and dog. Drinking Rim is slightly misshapen from age.

Lovely double C shaped handle. Marked 1030 "Mfg'ed and plated by Reed & Barton".

Two small spots of missing silver plate on goblet. Goblet measures 4 Inches Tall and weighs: 4 OZ. Total Height of Set with Handle 19 Inches and Base is 9 Inches diameter.

Weight of Pitcher, Stand, Liner and Saucer: 11 1/2 LBS. Antique Item Overall EXCELLENT CONDITION. SET has clearly been enjoyed and cherished. Give this Antique VERMONT set authenticity and character. FROM THE MOUNTAINS OF VERMONT.
