ANTIQUE RARE STUNNING STERLING SILVER HOWARD COMPANY WATER PITCHER HAND CHASED. This is a gorgeous solid sterling silver water pitcher from Howard & Company of New York, NY in 1893. & Company began in 1866 and produced some of the finest quality sterling silver in the United States. And is finished in garlands of deep, highlighted, repousse roses.

The elegant handle is hand chased in a classic. This massive pitcher stands 7 3/4" high x 8 1/2" from the end of the handle to the tip of the wide. It weighs over an astounding 38 ounces and has a flourished monogram. A masterpiece such as this, will.

Never be made again and this piece is singularly rare, if not unique. It sits on a round raised tiered base.

And the rim is finished with an applied relief. There are two minor dents near both sides of the top of the rim.

This is a fine remnant of the opulent Gilded Age (and it wasn't called that for nothing), the likes of which will never be seen again. Simply eye popping with incredible heft.
